Question Top Five Lists-Boots-Plates-Wheels

Here is a chance for people to place in order their opinion of the Top 5 choices of Boots, Plates and Wheels as they see it. Consider Inovative Design, Cutting Edge, Breaking The Mold

Skate Boots

5. Riedell 965 - First fresh design to come out Riedell in 20 years.
4. Riedell 295 Kangaroo - Star of Racing in the 1980s
3. Riedell 911 - All purpose boot, made well, good look, sturdy
2. Oberhamer 351 - Softest Leather known to be used.. New Look Ahead of its time.
1. Riedell 695 (early 90s) Very soft leather, cut well, The Corvette of Racing Boots.

Wheels

5. Shamans - Good Wheel w/ excellent quality control. Old ones only.
4. Anabolix - Chem I - Absolutly NOTHING Sticks like it. NOTHING!
3. Hotlines - Best wheel through the early 80s...
2. Wicked Lips - New Urthane.. never seen till then.
1. Atom G-Rods - Combo of Grip/Roll that no other wheel currently has.

Plates

5. WIP - Has to have a place in the top 5
4. Black Diamond - 1980s only contender to the Laser in quality and durability
3. Laser - Though Quality Control Wained, the only clear choice in quality speed plate for a decade.
2. Labeda ProLine - Flat out quality
1. Roll Line Navigator. Perfection.

And your list??

boots:

1. oberhamer 351-no words to describe them!
2. riedell 911-they take a beating!!!
3. riedell skunks-they dont stretch, i swear!
4. riedell 811-finally, a replica of DC's boot we can afford!
5. vanilla freestyle-although the design was stolen from a riedell prototype in 04, I do have to give mike credit for turning a pile of s**t into a pumpkin pie! now, he just needs to release the "TJ Dubay limited edition" version.

wheels:

1.wicked lips-the original and still the best!
2.shamans-well they're not wicked lips! and for years they were only available in only 2 durometers, and I always was trying to figure out how to get that blue ano off the hubs!
3.interceptors-the originals are incredible!!
4.ultimate weapons-name says it all!
5.labeda ninjas- i loved these....

plates:

1. proline- had 3 of these.... wish i kept 'em all
2. ultimate 3- still have mine and love it!
3. snyder advantage- great plate, great feel!
4. power-trac- no nonsense, purpose made plate, but does other things well!
5. roll-line energy- only in last because it didn't come around before any of these others!

by the way, I have owned all of this^^^^

* means I'm still checking them out but show potential. Could bump current top 5)

Boots.
1) Labeda 37x Taiwan
2) Riedell Kangaroo 3/5/695s
3) Any Prostyle
4) Labeda 37X USA
5) Riedell 911
*) Soft leather 122s
*) Bont QBW
*) Mitre Soccer shoe.... Yeah it's a contender....

Plates.
1) Roll Line..But have to be set up properly.
2) Snyder Imperial action (Lite versions only) NOT for everyone...
3) Boen / Pro Line / Reactor.. (Pretty much the same to me)
4) Ultimate I / II
5) Ultimate III / IV / Dominator
*) Galaxy
*) ATLAS AE2000 (figure plate. sorry if I got the model # wrong...)
*) Paioli Dance

Wheels
1) Crossfires / Glow Sn8ks (Sn8ks have plastic hubs)
2) Velocity / Fusions (Both plastic hubs)
3) Purple Vipers / Orange R-Tecs
4) Ultimate Weapons (as appropriate for floor conditions)
5) Black Vanillas / Grey Sn8ks
*) Natural Rockets

Based on the original premis I am cheating but this is as close as I care to break it down..

Obviously I am not always looking for what a lot of other sk8rs are looking for...

UPDATE 12/28/08 As it stands today...

Boots.
1) Bont Carbon Quad Racer
2) Labeda 37x Taiwan OR 8 Wheels 895
3) Bont QBW

2) Labeda 37x Taiwan OR 8 Wheels 895
3) Bont QBW
4) Riedell Early 2/3/5/695s
5) Any Prostyle

Plates. (Changes Changes... The stiff Bont boot has impacted the plate selection)
1)
Snyder Imperial action (Lite versions only) OR Ultimate Imperial.
2) DA45 Cyclone NTS. I don't use stops and it is the lightest of the bunch..

3) 2 way tie. Ultimate Boen (UIII with Boen king pins and action) P Trac Suspension Lots of machine work require or Super Nova (Nova on a Bont w/ ti king pins P trac suspension
4) Boen / Pro Line / Reactor.. (Pretty much the same to me) I'll take the Boen over the other 2 due to weight.
5)
Roll Line RING..But have to be set up properly.

Wheels

1) 3 way tie. Blue Roos. (Aussie prototypes.. Nothing faster and awesome grip for how hard they are.) Red Vipers are so close it's hard to call.. Purple Vipers... There is just something about these Sims... These 3 wheels are about immune to floor conditions where I sk8..
2)
Maroon Vipers / Ultimate Weapons (as appropriate for floor conditions) 3) Ruby Red Stilettos
4)
Orange R-Tecs / ATOM Strokers, Dubs or Fusions
5) Black Vanillas / Grey Sn8ks / Natural Rockets

1. Sure Grip XK4 Plates

2. Formula II boots (FII's)

3. labada orange wheels

4. Gold hartford bearings skates

Why you ask is this the very best? I'll tell you...I wore these skates back in 89 and that's when I hooked up with Christina G. only the hottest girl that went to the Palace Roller Skating rink in Philly. Our song was "First True Love" by Cynthia.

But did they have the amazing hairstyle known as the "Jersey Wall"?

And just for the record, I had the best silk shirt / pin-rolled jeans combo in all of philadelphia. The Drakkar helped.....
